Felicia, a mixologist from Varanese, whipped up a cocktail called “Good Morning Kentuckiana” for Jeff and John!
If you’re feeling tired, run down or well, just plain old hung over, extremists may recommend “hair of the dog” or more alcohol the day after to ease your headache and stomach! After Derby in Louisville, instead of “hair of a dog”, the fine folks at MyDerbyLove.com created the “Tail of the Horse” bartending competition, where bartenders throughout our great city compete to create the best post-Derby hangover cocktail. This event is free and open to the public, and will include appetizers, drink specials and dinner specials, on Monday, April 15th at 5:30pm at Varanese (http://varanese.com/), 2106 Frankfort Avenue. Megan of Megabites will be among the panel of judges.
This morning mixologist Felicia from Varanese joined Megabites, Jeff and John on-air and whipped up a creation of her own!
How do you make “Good Morning Kentuckiana?”
1/2 oz of Four Roses small batch
1/2 oz St Germaine liqueur
Dash of grapefruit juice
Topped with Martinelli's sparkling cider top with an apple rose.
