WOO-HOO--it's FRIDAY!!! It's been a really busy week, and if you're like me, you're ready for the WEEKEND!!! YEA, bring it on! :-) My poor husband threw out his back a few days ago, and I've been taking care of him...I jokingly say he's my fourth child!! Bless his heart, he's really in a lot of pain, and hopefully will be taking a turn for the better in the next few days.

Hey, if you're going to the U of L game tonight....have a ball--it should be a wonderful evening, and you may want to bring a jacket or sweatshirt--getting a but cool these days when the sun goes down!! GO CARDS!!

I saw Dracula at Actor's Theatre last weekend....it ROCKS, and I hightly recommend it--take your teenagers--they'll love it!!!

Wow...what a wind storm!!! Did you and your family do OK? Hope you didn't lose power, but if you did, isn't it unbelievable how dependant we've all become on our power? Do you find yourself walking into rooms and flipping on light switches, just by habit? It's kinda crazy!

Hang in there, try not to get too stressed out, and count your blessings....this too shall pass.

Hey, kids---can we really say Happy and Monday in the same sentence? Well I just did...oh well! Just got back in town from a 5 day vacation with my girlfriend at the beach! YEA!! It was great except when Hurricane Hanna visited late Friday night....YIKES! Actually, it was catagorized as "Tropical Storm", so all the locals kept saying it wouldn't be too bad--and they were really right--although the loud howling was continual for about 4 hours, and we couldn't sleep!! But the next day, it was beautiful again, and we were back walking on the beach.

How was your Labor Day holiday weekend? Hope you had a wonderful, relaxing time with friends and family! We had fun at the pool and had a BBQ...yum!

This week I'm only in the studio on Tuesday....then I hop on a plane and fly to Myrtle Beach for a few days in the sun with my girlfriend--yea, GIRL'S TRIP! :-) Our only concern is hurricane Hanna--which could possibly hit Myrtle Beach this Saturday...YIKES! We'll have to keep an eye on it, and maybe evacuate if it's coming our direction....say a prayer for me!

Hey, it's time to get GRILLIN'! Yep, you'd better get to the grocery today or tomorrow and get your brats, steaks, burgers, & chicken for the Labor Day weekend...plus UK/U of L game!

Here's my favorite method for delicious brats:

Put a flat pan on the grill: pour in a beer and add chopped onions.

Grill your brats until just browned. Then let them "swim" in the beer bath until you're ready to pop 'em into a toasty bun and ENJOY....it's so easy, and they'll be the most popular meat at the party!
