Where the TRUCKS at?

I had the pleasure of sitting down and chatting with Will Bogel, project manager of the new free iPhone app called Where The Trucks At (wherethetrucks.at)! Will launched the food truck finding app July 11th, with partners Aaron Drake, Anthony Pham, and Justin Toon. The idea came to the team back in March when participating in Startup Weekend Louisville (http://louisville.startupweekend.org/), a class meets competition teaching locals how to become entrepreneurs. They place 3rd in the competition.
The app itself is easy to use and clean, with 14 food trucks locally participating with more adding on every day. When you launch the app, it geotargets your location on a map and finds the closest food truck to your location. When you click to explore the food trucks in your neighborhood you can see the trucks menu, prices, Facebook info, and how to contact them. After beta testing this app in Louisville the group hopes to take the app to different cities nationwide. They are currently in the process of creating the App for Droid users.
As for Will’s favorite trucks? He loves the Holy Molé Taco Truck and the B&B Burger from Grind. The B&B is a burger with brie, thick cut bacon, choice of habanero or apricot jam. And I agree with Will, it’s really delicious.
